Chestnut & Orange Chocolate Biscuits

 

This is a surprisingly soft biscuit, full of flavour which I hope you enjoy. The chocolate and the orange rind in the Whittakers Dark Orange Chocolate work well with the Chestnut Flour and add to the flavour, but also the texture.

Ingredients

 

6 tablespoons soft butter

¼ cup castor sugar

¼ cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 large egg

1 cup Country Treats Chestnut Flour

¾ teaspoon baking soda

175 grams Whittakers Dark Orange Chocolate (cut or break into small pieces)

Method

 

Preheat oven to 180° C and line a baking tray.

Cream butter and sugars, and then add egg and beat again.

Add sifted Chestnut Flour, baking soda and cinnamon and mix.

Finally add chocolate and mix.

Gather in small spoonfuls of the mixture and place on baking tray. These biscuits spread very little, and I think look nicer if they are not pressed down too much.

Bake for about 10 minutes.
